Kristo is a solo project of Belgian songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Kristiaan Deruytter. Being influenced by funk, soul, jazz and vintage r&b, he shares a deep love and respect for classic songwriting, blending timeless songs with his own modern, unpremeditated pop sensibility that feels both authentic and forward-thinking.

As a true multi-instrumentalist in every sense; guitar, bass, keys, drums and vocals. Kristo writes, composes, performs and co-produces his own work. With his band his recordings come to life; transforming his songs into a powerful and engaging live experience. Together with Wout Helsen on drums (Mavee, Sevens), Erik Rademakers on bass (Selah Sue, Pommelien Thijs) and Daan Demeyer on keys.

He has performed at Gent Jazz, North Sea Jazz (Talent Stage), Hnita Jazz, support for Macy Gray and Theo Croker and has received an award for "remarkable musician" at the International Jazz in the Park Competition in Cluj, Romania. He has had succesful collaborations with key figures such as Nicholas Fiszman and Manu Katché.

His forthcoming debut album will be due in December 2026, showcasing both artistic integrity with clear crossover potential.
