Talking about Doctor Prats is talking about the revolution of music in Catalan. With just three years of history the band from Terrassa, Spain has three albums on the market –Patates amb Peix (2015) , Aham Sigah (2016) and Venim de Lluny (2018) – and have already played more than 250 shows. Capable of mixing styles as diverse as pop, cumbia, reggae, ska, rock, electro swing or dubstep with the essence of the Western Sioux tribes, Doctor Prats brings the crossbreeding of styles to another level.
In 2016, Doctor prats was nominated Best band in Catalan festivals and won the Enderrock Award 2017 for the best Catalan pop-rock song with Ara. The band was also nominated for Best Catalan band of the year and Best album. 2018 started with winning the Award ARC for Best band in Catalonia.
Doctor Prats prepare for 2018 after having gone through the best festivals in Catalonia such as the Clownia Festival, Canet Rock, Camping Jove, Bioritme Festival or present at parties such as La Mercè de Barcelona, they finished their first World Tour playing at Fuji Rock Festival (Japan), Visa For Music (Morroco), Babel Sound (Hungary), Fete Cize (France), and sharing the stage with groups such as Gorillaz, Bjork, Major Lazer, The XX, Aphex Twin, Dub Inc. With tours already confirmed in Belgium, Hungary, France, Turkey and all of Spain promising to be the best festival season in its three year existence.
